Refitting the parallel arm
Use these procedures to refit the parallel arm.

Action
Use caution and lift the parallel arm up from
the lower arm.
If needed replace the bearings.
Action
Wipe clean all contact surfaces on parallel
arm and lower arm.
Remove residues of corrosion protection
and other contamination on the bearings.
Examine the bearings for damage.
Note
Replace if damaged.
Apply corrosion protection on the outer
surface of the bearings.
Apply corrosion protection in the holes.
Action
Remove the bearing.
Remove the washer and remove all
residues of old corrosion protection and
other contamination from the washer.
Remove residues of old corrosion protec-
tion and other contamination on the parallel
arm shafts.
Wipe clean all contact surfaces from
residues of corrosion protection and other
contamination.
Apply new corrosion protection.
