Cisco CMTS Configuration Commands
clear cable secondary-ip
To clear the router's table that links secondary IP addresses to the devices that use them, use the clear
cable secondary-ip command in privileged EXEC mode.

Usage Guidelines
To support BPI and BPI+ operations with CMs and CPE devices that use secondary IP addresses, the
CMTS maintains a database that links the known secondary IP addresses to the SIDs used by those
devices. When the CMTS and CM need to renew their public keys, the CMTS uses this database to
ensure that all IP addresses are sufficiently updated to allow proper routing and fast switching.

clear cable secondary-ip interface cable slot/port [all | sid sid [ip-address]]
clear cable secondary-ip interface cable slot/subport/port [all | sid sid [ip-address]]
Identifies the cable interface and downstream port on the Cisco uBR7100
series and Cisco uBR7200 series routers.
On the Cisco uBR7100 series router, the only valid value is 1/0. On the
Cisco uBR7200 series router, slot can range from 3 to 6, and port can be 0
or 1, depending on the cable interface.
Identifies the cable interface on the Cisco uBR10012 router. The following
are the valid values:
Specifies that all IP addresses in the secondary IP address table should be
cleared.
Specifies that all IP addresses for a particular Service ID (SID) should be
cleared. The valid range is 1 to 8191.
(Optional) Specifies that the IP address for a particular CM or CPE device
should be cleared.
Modification
This command was introduced for the Cisco uBR7100 series and
Cisco uBR7200 series universal broadband routers.
Support was added for the Cisco uBR10012 universal broadband router.
This command was removed because it is no longer needed, because of
database changes.
