Cisco CMTS Configuration Commands
The clear cable modem lock command also automatically resets the CMs, so that they will reregister
with the CMTS. If the CMs then reregister with a valid DOCSIS configuration file, the CMTS will allow
the CMs to come online with the requested QoS profiles. If the CMs violate the DOCSIS specifications
again, they will be locked again.
If a CM is not manually unlocked, it remains locked until it stays offline, without attempting to

Examples
The following example shows how to clear the lock for the CM with the MAC address of

The following example shows how to clear the locks for all CMs that have a OUI that has been defined
as having the vendor name of Cisco using the cable modem vendor command:

Description
Enables the dynamic shared secret feature, so that DOCSIS configuration
files are verified with a Message Integrity Check (MIC) that has been created
with a dynamically generated shared secret.
Clears the current contents of the CMTS flap list, and optionally clears
Resets the CM flapping counters to zero.
Removes one or more CMs from the internal address and routing tables.
Removes all offline CMs from the internal address and routing tables, or
clears all flap list counters for offline CMs.
Removes a CM from the Station Maintenance List and resets the CM.
