Action
Too hot gearbox oil may be caused by:
Incorrect oil quality or level.
The robot work cycle runs a specific
axis too hard. Investigate whether it
is possible to program small "cooling
periods" into the application.
Overpressure created inside gearbox.

Robots performing certain, extremely
heavy duty work cycles may be fitted with
vented oil plugs. These are not fitted to
normal duty robots, but can be pur-
chased from your local ABB representat-
ive.
