14.5 External I/O signal logic switching function

This function switches the signal logic according to the following signals.
• External equipment connected to the Simple Motion module
• [Cd.44] External input signal operation device
• External input signal of servo amplifier (upper/lower limit switch or proximity dog)
For the system in which b-contact, upper limit switch, and lower limit switch are not
used, the parameter logic setting can be controlled without wiring if it is changed to a
"positive logic".
When the upper limit switch, and lower limit switch are used, ensure to use them with
negative logic (b-contact).
Important
When the MR-J4-GF is connected, set the logic of the upper/lower limit signal
(FLS/RLS) and proximity dog signal (DOG) as shown below. If the setting is
incorrect, the external input signal may be detected incorrectly during the HPR or
positioning operation. For the input logic specification of the servo amplifier, refer to
the instruction manual of the servo amplifier to be used.
• When the external input signal of the servo amplifier is used
Set the same value in "[Pr.22] Input signal logic selection" as the value set in the
input logic setting of the servo amplifier to be connected.
• When other than the external input signal of the servo amplifier is used.
Change the servo parameter "Function selection T-3 (PT29)" to "1: Dog detection
with on".
The details shown below explain about the "External I/O signal logic switching
function".
