The "external input signal select function" is used to select from the following signals when using each external input signal of
each axis (upper/lower stroke limit signal (FLS/RLS), proximity dog signal (DOG), and stop signal (STOP)).
• External input signal of servo amplifier
• External input signal via CPU (buffer memory)
Setting details
The method for setting the external input signals used in each axis (upper/lower stroke limit signal (FLS/RLS), proximity dog
signal (DOG), and stop signal (STOP)) is shown below.

selection
*1 The setting is not available in "[Pr.119] STOP signal selection". If it is set, the error "STOP signal selection error" (error code: 1BD3H)
occurs and the PLC READY signal [Y0] is not turned ON.
- Set "Function selection C-G DI status read selection (PC79.0)" to "Eh".
- Set "Function selection D-4 Sensor input method selection (PD41.3)" to "1: Input from controller".
- Set "Function selection D-4 Limit switch enabled status selection (PD41.2)" to "1: Enabled only for homing
mode".
- Set "DI pin polarity selection (PD60)" to "00000000h".
- Set "Function selection T-3 Device input polarity 1 (PT29.0)" to "1: Dog detection with ON".
If the above servo parameters are set to different values, the error "Servo parameter invalid" (error code:
1DC8H) occurs, and the Motion module rewrites the value of said servo parameters to the above values. The
servo parameters are enabled after the Motion module or servo amplifier is reset.
■When "1: Servo amplifier" is set to the input type
The following table shows the pin No. of the external input signal of the servo amplifier to be used.

• When using the MR-J5(W)-G, set the servo parameters as follows.
• When parameter automatic setting is enabled, the saved parameters are automatically updated. Check the
execution result of automatically updating the saved parameters in the event history.
• When "[Pr.95] External command signal selection" is set to use the DOG signal of the axis, the DOG signal
of the servo amplifier is used regardless of the setting value of "[Pr.118] DOG signal selection". For details of
the logic selection for the signal, refer to the following. Page 658 Devices Compatible with CC-Link IE

• A virtual servo amplifier cannot be used in an external command. When the axis selected in "[Pr.95]
External command signal selection" is a virtual servo amplifier, the setting is invalid.
