Figure 5: Restarting the desired track

Whenever you want to steer directly from an off-course posi-
tion to a waypoint, press the RESTART HERE key, and the 961
recalculates the desired track to extend from your present
position directly to the next waypoint, resetting your XTE to
zero. You can restart the desired track at the 3-D STEER
screen, the traditional STEER screen, the CHART screen, and
the TRIP screen.
At the 3-D STEER screen or the traditional STEER screen,
press the RESTART HERE key, then press the CONFIRM key.
Your present position becomes your new "from" point; XTE
becomes zero and the 961 returns to the STEER screen.
At the CHART screen, first press the GO TO key. At the GO TO
COORDINATES dialog box, press the RESTART HERE key.
Your present position becomes your new 'from" point; XTE
becomes zero and the 961 returns to the CHART screen.
At the TRIP screen, highlight the active trip waypoint. Press
the GO TO SELECTION key, then press the YES, RESTART
HERE key, and the 961 inserts a point at your present position
into the trip. Your present position becomes your new "from"
point, XTE becomes zero, and the 961 returns to the STEER
screen.
