961 Operations and Reference Manual Rev. D
Deleting HCRF permits
You can delete individual HCRF chart permits from the 961.
Deleting a permit automatically deletes its associated chart. Also,
please note that if you delete the permit for only one of the
multiple components of a chart, for example, a chart inset, the
961 deletes all of the chart's components (including the base
chart and all of its insets).
If you want to delete a chart instead (deleting a chart does not
delete its associated permit), see "Deleting charts" starting on
page 13-58.
To delete one or more HCRF permits:
1. Press the STAR key until you display the SETUP MENU
screen, then press the CHART INVENTORY key.
2. At the CHART INVENTORY screen, press the HCRF SPE-
CIFIC key.
3. At the HCRF CHARTS screen, press the CHART PERMITS
key.
4. At the HCRF PERMITS screen, press the CURSOR PAD to
highlight the permit(s) that you want to delete, then press
the USAGE key to mark the permit "delete" in the USAGE
field.
5. Press the DELETE PERMITS key.
6. At the DELETE PERMITS dialog box, press the CONFIRM
key.
After deleting a chart and permit, the DELETE PERMITS
dialog box displays the number of chart(s) and permit(s)
that the 961 just deleted.
7 . Press the CONFIRM key to return to the HCRF PERMITS
screen.
Deleting all HCRF specific information
If you ever decide to switch from the Skipper service to the
Navigator service, or vice versa, first you must delete all HCRF
information, including all charts and permits, from the 961.
