Even if you're not actually looking at the 961, the alarm audio
sounds, reminding you to check the unit for alarm messages.

standing alarms" starting on page 12-2.
Setup menu
The SETUP MENU screen offers six options to customize your
961, including display, navigation, and chart setup; and func-
tions to load/update/delete charts, set up the 961's demo
mode, and view time information.
The SETUP MENU screen uses six menu keys—DISPLAY
SETUP, NAVIGATION SETUP, CHART SCREEN SETUP,
CHART INVENTORY, DEMO SETUP, and TIME INFORMA-
TION—to control setup customization:
Use the DISPLAY SETUP key to change the time zone
and the time-display format, XTE scale on both steering
screens, distance and speed units, tide-height units, maxi-
mum number of *SAVEDXX* waypoints, and the vessel's
