Individual waypoint symbols
Pressing the WAYPTS key on the CHART SETUP screen lets
you choose waypoint symbols to display by individually
selecting which symbols to show or not show.
Waypoint symbols and waypoint names
Pressing the WAYPTS key on the CHART SETUP screen lets
you turn off the display of all the waypoint symbols that you

You can also display the names of waypoints (shown below
their symbols) by setting the WAYPT DISPLAY option to
NAME/SYMBOL.
If you want to display waypoint symbols without their names,
set the WAYPT DISPLAY option to SYMBOL. Turning off way-
point names is useful for eliminating clutter, especially

with multiple waypoints grouped closely together.

The 961's ClearZoom feature lets you set the clarity of a chart
for when you aren't viewing the chart at a 1:1 scale. That is,

ClearZoom improves the quality of the chart display.
Track predictor line
The green predictor line on the CHART screen displays your
vessel's predicted track line, and the point you'll reach at your
present COG and SOG. You can set the length of the track pre-
dictor line to 1 MIN, 2, 3, 5, 30, or OFF. To avoid confusion
between the track line and other lines displayed on the
CHART screen, such as chart edges, lat/lon lines, routes, trip
