You can also search the list for a particular waypoint by enter-
ing the first few characters of the category you're sorting by.
The WAYPOINTS screen has five menu keys—GO TO, TDS,LT/
LN, NEW WAYPT, COPY, and EDIT—that control waypoint
functions.
Use the GO TO key to:
go directly to the selected waypoint (erases the future part
of your trip)
add the selected waypoints to the end of your current trip
(if you're already past the last waypoint, you'll start navi-
gating along the newly entered leg)
Use the TDS,LT/LN key to:
switch between displaying lat/lon coordinates or TDs
Use the NEW WAYPT key to:
add a new waypoint to the list
Use the COPY key to:
make a new waypoint by editing a copy of an existing one
Use the EDIT key to:
edit a waypoint
erase a waypoint
For in-depth information about waypoints, see "Creating Way-
points" starting on page 6-1.
Routes screen
The ROUTES screen lists all your stored routes sorted by
whether a route is marked for display on the CHART screen;
whether a route is marked to accept SAVE keypresses; name;
date the route was last modified; total distance covered by
each route (length); and proximity (distance from your present
position). Until you store user-defined routes in the database,
the ROUTES screen will be completely blank.
