7.1.4 Code flash memory erasure and rewrite

Erasure
Rewrite
According to its block structure the flash memory can be erased in two different
modes.
• All-blocks batch erasure (chip erase)
All blocks are erased all together.
• Block erasure
Each 2 KB flash memory block can be erased separately.
In self-programming mode any number of contiguous flash memory blocks
can be erased all together.
In self- and serial programming mode it is possible to rewrite the flash memory
in smaller units than one block. Once a complete block has been erased it can
be rewritten in units of 8 bytes. Each unit can be rewritten only once after
erasure of the complete block.
