Virtual Chassis
An arbitration process in the boot phase ensures that one of the CPM-capable nodes is the
active CPM and the other is the standby CPM. Internally software will always assign CPM A
as the active CPM-IMM node and CPM B as the standby CPM-IMM node. Ports on the logical
IMM which is part of the CPM are referred to using the same format as IMM-only nodes (slot-
id/1/port-id).
The MAC address must match the chassis MAC address of the node.
The no form of the command removes the node from the VC.
Parameters
cpmA — Specifies the active CPM-IMM.
cpmB — Specifies the standby CPM-IMM.
slot-num — Specifies the slot number of the node.
mac-address — Specifies the chassis MAC address of the node.
