C. Position the tank bracket (item 29 in
Secure the bracket with the 2 flange nuts. Tighten the flange nuts evenly
and only sufficient so that the tank is snug to the frame.
4. Use the labels that you attached during fuel tank removal to correctly connect
the hoses to the stand pipe (item 33 in
90° elbow fitting on the top of the fuel tank. Secure the hoses with the hose
clamps.
5. Apply anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the 2 button-head screws (item
28 in Figure 12) that secure the cover plate to the fuel tank. Install the cover
plate and tighten the screws to 2.3 to 3.3 N∙m (20 to 30 in-lb).
6. Connect the negative battery cable to the negative battery post.
7. Add fuel to the tank and prime the fuel system; refer to
System (page 3–17).
8. Check the fuel hoses and fittings for leaks.
Note: Repair all fuel leaks before operating the machine.
9. Lower the hood and secure it with the latches.
10. Lower the operator seat.
