Note: The front and rear steering cylinders used on the Groundsmaster 360 are
the same and use the same service procedures.
Note: The following procedures assume the rod end and ball joint have been
removed from the steering cylinder; refer to
(page
4–150).
1. Slowly pump the cylinder rod to remove the hydraulic fluid from the steering
cylinder into a drain pan. Plug both the ports and clean the outer surface of
the cylinder.
When you clamp the steering cylinder in a vise, clamp the barrel
clevis only to prevent damage. Do not close the vise on the barrel
or rod.
