The engine that powers your Groundsmaster 360 machine is a Yanmar model
3TNV88C-DTR3 that complies with EPA Tier 4F emission regulations. The
engine is equipped with an exhaust system that includes a diesel oxidation
catalyst (DOC) and a diesel-particulate filter (DPF).
These exhaust components require service or component replacement at regular
intervals; refer to the Operator's Manual.
At recommended intervals, DPF reconditioning is necessary which will require
exhaust system disassembly. DPF reconditioning should be done by a company
that has the necessary equipment. Once the DPF has gone through the
reconditioning process, it can be re-installed in the exhaust system. Contact your
Toro Distributor for information on reconditioning the DPF.
The diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) has a service life expectancy and requires
replacement at recommended intervals. Replacement of the DOC will require
exhaust system disassembly, removal of the existing DOC and installation
of the new DOC.
Information about the diesel-particulate filter (DPF) operation and maintenance
can be found in the Yanmar Engine Service Manual and Troubleshooting Manual.
