Opening the Carriage Clamp using the Handwheel

If book block jams inside the clamp and you want to open the carriage clamp manually, use the
supplied handwheel to open the carriage clamp.
It is recommnded to use the handwheel to
open the cariage clamp manually when the
book block jams between the nippers.
Turn off the power switch.
Install the supplied handwheel to the
clamp.
• Install the handwheel on the position shown in
the drawing to the right.
Turn the handwheel clockwise to open the
carriage clamp.
• Then remove the jammed book block.
Close the carriage clamp by turning the
handwheel counterclockwise, and remove
the handwheel.
Turn on the power switch.
Return to the home position, and do the
changeover.
(1) Press .
The display changes to the Information – Main
screen.
(2) Press
The display changes to the Setup – Binding
screen.
(3) Press
The display changes to the Setup – Check
screen.
(4) Press .
The machine will return all parts to the home
positions and start the changeover.
• The carriage clamp will return to its proper
position.
