5-18 Lubrication

5-18-4 Upper and lower nipper shafts

Open the nipping section bottom cover.
Pull the lubricating lever out as far as it
will go. (Do this two or three times.)
To add more oil to the nipper lubrication tank,
pour ISOVG68 or its equivalent into the hole
covered by the cap shown in the figure.
If it is hard to add more oil through the hole,
remove the tank unit by removing the two
mounting screws, and then add more oil.

Recommended oil: Lubricating oil for
sliding surfaces with a viscosity of 68
