Replacing the Double Feed Stop Pads

If the covers double-feed frequently, the double feed stop pads may be worn.
Follow the steps listed below to remove the double feed stop pads. If the pads are worn, replace them.
Lower the cover table.
• Press the Cover Table Down button to lower
the table.
• The table will stop if the Up button is pressed
as it lowers.
Turn the power switch off.
WARNING
Before replacing the double feed stop
pads, turn off the power. Otherwise, you
may injure yourself.
Remove the double feed stop pads.
• Loosen the two mounting screws, and remove
the double feed stop pad assembly by pulling it
up.
Check whether the double feed stop pads
are worn.
If the pads are worn, replace the double
feed stop pad assembly.
• Insert the screws completely into the
grooves in the pad assembly. Tighten the
screws while holding the pad assembly
from above.
• Be careful not to overtighten the mounting
screws.
