Replacing the PUR Chip Cutter

If the chip cutter is dull, the glue will not be spread over the spine of the book, and the binding strength will be reduced.
If this happens, replace the chip cutter.
WARNING
• Before replacing the cutter, be sure to
turn the power switch off. Also, place
a piece of thick cloth over the cutter to
ensure that your hands will not touch
the cutter.
• Wear work gloves for this job, and
avoid touching the edges of the
milling cutter and chip cutter. You may
be cut by the sharp edges.
Open the milling guide.

(2) Adjusting Side Brush
(3) Right Brush Bracket
(4) Left Brush Bracket
(5) Rear Milling Guide
(6) Right and Left Milling Guide Clamp Blocks

Remove the PUR chip cutter.
• Remove the four mounting screws.
The blade height of the PUR chip cutter will
remain unchanged even when it is re-
ground. (This means that a height
adjustment is not required.)
