Machine Parts and Functions

1-2-1 Overall Machine

Control Panel
See section 1-3 for details.
Use this to control the machine operation and enter
the necessary settings.
Book Block Feed Section
See section 1-2-2 for details.
The book blocks are placed in the carriage clamp
in this section. After binding, the books are
dropped from here onto the delivery section.
Safety Cover
Operation stops if this cover is
opened.
Filter Bag
The air and trim from the
milling section are collected
here, and the trim drops into
the bag below.
Trim Bag
This collects the trim from
the milling section.
Delivery Section
The books dropped from the carriage clamps are
carried to the stacker by a belt located here.
Emergency Stop Button
Operation stops if this button is
pressed.
Side Gluing Section
See section 1-2-4 for details.
This section applies glue to the side parts
of the book block spine.
Spine Gluing Section
See section 1-2-5 for details.
This section applies the spine glue to the
book block spine using two rollers.
Emergency Stop Button
Operation stops if this button is pressed.

Milling Section
See section 1-2-3 for details.
This section mills off the book block spines to a uniform height and
also roughens them in order to increase the strength of the spine
glue.
Nipping Section
See section 1-2-6 for details.
This section pastes the covers onto the book
block spines and forms the spines.
Cover Feed Table Foreign Object Detector
If anything other than covers has been placed on the cover feed
table, the detector is pushed up, and the table is prevented from
lifting.

covers are opened.
Power Switch

are opened.
Stacker

The delivered bound books are
stacked here.
Cover Feed Section

odors emanating from the
glue and discharges them
outside.
