Lubrication

Lubricate the parts indicated below at the periodic intervals indicated.
The symbols in the figures show the lubrication method and frequency.
Symbols indicating the lubrication method
= Apply grease using a brush.
= Add oil using an oil can.

5-18-1 Melt tank chains

Lubricate the melt tank chains once a month.
The melt tanks are heated to a high
temperature of about 200°C (400°F). Wear
gloves to lubricate the melt tank chains.
The hot parts may cause burns.
Turn the power switch off.
Open the left front cover.
Add oil to the oil cups.
• Pour about 10 drops of the melt tank chain oil
(supplied) into the two oil cups on the EVA
spine glue tank and one oil cup on the side
glue tank.
Recommended Oil
Lubricating oil for High Temperature
Temperature: 250°C(482°F or lower)
Viscosity: 295mm
Close the left front cover.
Turn the power switch on.
Rotate the rollers.
• Press the
Single operation Side Glue/Spine Glue screen.
The oil will spread along the chains.
