Adjusting the Nipper Angle

Adjust the nipper angle if the shape of the spine is
different on the two ends, or if the spine on only
one end protrudes too much or is rounded.
Open the nipping section lower cover.
Loosen the locking screw.
• Loosen the locking screw on the nipper angle
adjusting block.
• Use the T-shaped Allen wrench supplied.
Adjust the nipper angle.
• Rotate the angle adjusting block to the left or
right to adjust the nipper angle.
• To make the spine on the left end more
rounded: Rotate the adjusting block
toward the right.
(This lowers the melt tank side of the
nipper.)
• To make the spine on the right end more
rounded: Rotate the adjusting block
toward the left.
(This raises the melt tank side of the
nipper.)
Lock the adjusting block.
• Tighten the locking screw.
Close the nipping section lower cover.
• Check whether the spine is the same shape at
both ends.
