Bind just one copy, and check the bookbinding quality and also whether the book is delivered smoothly.
Press
Operation screen.
The display changes to the Bookbinding – Test
screen.
Set the production speed.
• Do this so the test will be done at the actual
production speed.
• Set the production speed using the
buttons.
The production speed affects the notching
pitch and the gluing action, and these affect
the bookbinding quality.
Select the Test mode.
• Select "milling only," "milling + gluing" or "bind
one copy only."
• Select .
• This is used to bind a single book, including the
cover. (The next cover will not be fed
automatically.)
This test function can be used to check other
items.
This is used to check the quality of
the milling.
• After performing just the milling operation, stop
the operation before the book is put into the
nipper, and press the Bookbinding Start buttons
to deliver the books.
• The side glue will be applied during this
test. Deliver the books after the glue
has dried.
• When the books are delivered to the
stacker, they will be spread out. Open
the delivery section cover, and remove
the books.
This allows you to check the milling
and gluing.
• After the milling has been done and the side
glue and spine glue have been applied, stop
the operation before the book is put into the
nipper. (The cover will not be attached.)
• Press the Bookbinding Start buttons to return
the books to a position above the level plate,
and deliver them to the stacker. (Deliver the
books after the glue has dried.)
