Adjusting the Glue Amount for the Side Glue Rollers
WARNING
Wear gloves for this job. The adjusting plate is
very hot at this point, and you may burn yourself.
Open the left front cover.
Loosen the screw on the adjusting plate.
Adjust the side glue amount.
• The drawing to the right shows the glue amount
adjusting lever on the far side.
• Move the glue amount adjusting lever up or down
using tools, such as needle-nosed pliers and nippers,
to adjust the amount of glue on the side gluing roller.
• If you move the lever from a hole to the next hole,
the glue amount will change by 2.0 mm (0.08").
Lower the lever to increase the amount of glue.
Raise the lever to decrease the amount of glue.
Check the slot in the adjusting plate (shown in the
drawing to the right) to adjust the amount of glue.
CAUTION
Do not raise the lever over the
top hole. Otherwise, the side
gluing roller may be damaged.
Tighten the screw on the adjusting plate.
Close the left front cover.
