Adjusting the Double Feed Stop Pad Height
Adjust the double feed stop pad height if there is double feeding or mis-feeding of the covers even
though the pressure of the blower air is correct.
Adjust the height of the double feed stop
pad.
To prevent double feeding
• When the double feed stop pad height
adjusting lever is lowered, the gap between the
feed rotor and the double feed stop pad is
reduced.
To prevent mis-feeding
• When the double feed stop pad height
adjusting lever is raised, the gap between the
feed rotor and the double feed stop pad is
increased.
Feed some test covers.
• Press the Test Feed button.
• Feed some actual covers, and check that they
do not double-feed or mis-feed.
If double feeding occurs after making
this adjustment
• Check whether the covers are stuck together.
• Fan the covers thoroughly.
• Raise the double feed stop pad a little more.
• Lower the cover feed height. (For more
information, see Section 3-17.)
Remember that mis-feeding is likely to
occur if the double feed stop pad is raised
too much.
If mis-feeding occurs after making this
adjustment
• Increase the air pressure. (For more
information, see the previous page.)
