The covers are set
so they are folded
across the grain.
The amount of spine
glue is set too low.
The cover stock is
extremely thick.
The wiper openings
for the spine glue are
too narrow.

incorrect.
The nipping
operating time is too
short.
Cause and solution
• The corners become rounded if the covers
are folded in the cross grain direction in
relation to the book blocks. Place the covers
so the grain is parallel to the book block.

• If the amount of spine glue is set too low, the
corners will be rounded. Try increasing the
amount of spine glue.
• Try increasing the amount of spine glue
using the Bookbinding - Fine-Tune
Adjustment - Glue screen.
