3-2-2 Changing the EVA glue after using the PUR glue

When removing the PUR chip cutter
• Before loosening the mounting screws for the
milling cutter, be sure to turn the power switch off.
Also, place a piece of thick cloth over the cutter to
ensure that your hands will not touch the cutter.
• Wear work gloves for this job, and avoid
touching the edge of the cutter blade. The
sharp edges may cut you.
• The melt tank is still hot immediately after the
power is turned off. Do not touch the tank.
Remove the PUR chip cutter and spacers.
(1) Perform the steps
Replacing the PUR Chip Cutter].
(2) Remove four mounting screws and remove the chip cutter and the spacers.
Adjust the height of the notching cutter.
(1) Hold each notching cutter using a folded piece of thick cloth.
There is a spring under the notching cutter,
and when its fix screw is loosened, it might
pop out.
(2) Loosen the mounting screw for each notching
cutter using a 2.5 mm Allen wrench.
(3) Hold the edge of the notching cutter using the
set gauge, and tighten the mounting screw.
Align the height using the dedicated set gauge and
then lock the cutter using SS5-25 as shown in Fig.4.
Normally, the notching depth should be set to 0.6
mm (0.024"). However, if a few sheets on the both
sides open to the inner margin, make the notching
depth deeper. Set the depth to 1.1 mm (0.04") or
smaller and check that the notching cutter does not
hit the rear milling guide after the step 6.

(4) Set the other notching cutter as well.
(5) Remove the set gauge.
(6) Attach the front milling guide, milling guide
clamp blocks, and rear milling guide in the
reverse order of removal.
