1-2-7 Cover Feed Section

Feed Rotor
This feeds the covers using vacuum
and friction.
Double Feed Detect Sensor
This detects any double
feeding by measuring the light
passing through the covers.
Double Feed Stop Pad
This prevents more than one cover
from being fed at a time.
Feed Table Up/Down Buttons
When these buttons are pressed, the
feed table goes up or down.
Test Feed Button
When this button is pressed,
one cover is fed as far as the
standby position. When it is
pressed again, the cover is
delivered into the nipper.
Double Feed Stop Pad
Height Adjusting Lever
Lower the lever to raise the
height of the double feed stop
pad. Do this if the plate is
becoming worn or if double
feeding occurs frequently.

Blower Air Adjusting
Lever
The amount of blower air can be
adjusted using this lever. See
Section 3-15 for more details.
Scoring Roller Pressure
Adjusting Knob
This is used to adjust the
pressure of the scoring
rollers. See 3-10 for more
details.
Fixed Scoring Roller
This roller (registering side) is
used to score the covers. See
Section 3-3-1 for more details.
Cover Side Guides
These guides are adjusted automatically to
match the size of the covers.
End Stopper
This stopper is placed against the rear edge
of the stack of covers.
Reducer
Clamp Manual Rotation Handle
Turn this handle after pressing the
Emergency Stop button. If it is turned
counterclockwise when the carriage clamp
has locked up during milling, the clamp will
rotate in the reverse direction.
CAUTION
To rotate the carriage clamp manually, first
close the clamp using the Single Operation
screen.
Transport Rollers
These rollers feed the
covers as far as the
standby position.
Scoring Roller Pressure
Adjusting Knob
Adjustable Scoring Roller
This roller (adjustable side) is
used to score the covers. See
Section 3-3-1 for more details.
Feed Height Adjustment
Knob
This is used to adjust the
height of the stack of covers.
Rotation of carriage clamp in
reverse direction
