Wire Brush WBC-470

At the center of the milling cutter, the brush is installed to remove the trim from the book block. When the standard
horsehair brush cannnot remove the trim enough, replace the standard brush with this brush. The end of the
WBC-470 is stiff, and the height of the brush should be adjusted by inserting the shims under the brush.
WARNING
Wear work gloves for this job, and avoid
touching the edge of the cutter blade.
Otherwise, the sharp edges may cut you.
WARNING
The melt tank is still hot immediately after
the power is turned off. Do not touch the
tank.
Enter 65 mm/2.560" as the book block
thickness and do a changeover.
The milling guide opens.
Turn off the Power switch.
Remove the parts below.
• Adjusting side brush, register side brush, right
brush bracket, left brush bracket and rear milling
guide. (See Section 5-11 for details.)
Remove the standard brush.
Insert two shims (thickness 0.5 mm/
0.020"). Then insert two shims (0.1 mm/
0.004") and install the wire brush on the
milling unit.
