4-8 If a Cover Sheet or Book Block Jams

4-8-4 If the book block has jammed in the delivery section

If the book block has jammed in the delivery section, the error
icon is displayed on the Error screen and the error codes
1871 through 1875 is displayed.
Remove all the jammed sheets
before you start the operation again.
Otherwise the machine may be
damaged.
Remove the jammed book block and
press the OK button on the screen.
A: When the book block has jammed at the
level plate section, open the level plate
manually and remove the book block.
B: When the book block has jammed after
falling into the conveyor belt in the delivery
section, open the left delivery section
cover, and remove the book block.
C: When the book block has jammed before
the stacker, open the left delivery section
cover and remove the book block.
Find out why the books could not be
delivered smoothly and clear the cause.
• If the books are too thick and are not
delivered smoothly, see Section 4-7-5.
• If the books are too thin and are not
delivered smoothly, see Section 4-7-6.
• If a landscape book falls down in delivery
section and cannot be delivered smoothly,
set the book supporting brush to match the
book thickness. (Refer to Section 1-2-8 for
details.)
• If the book deliver confirmation sensor or
mirror is dirty, the error code 1873 may be
displayed. Clean the sensor and the mirror.
