4-7-4 Cover double-feeding sensed incorrectly

The thickness for the
covers was not
calibrated correctly.
Folded cover sheet or
incorrectly laminated
cover sheet (air is left
inside) is used.
Cause and solution
• When the edges of the double feed stop
pads become worn, the braking force is
reduced, and double-feeding may be more
frequent.
• Replace the double feed stop pads with new
ones.

• The thinnest cover stock which can be fed is
82 gsm for normal paper (30 lb) and 105 gsm
for coated paper (38 lb).
• Use cover stock with the correct
specification.

Cause and solution
• Press the Test Feed button to feed a cover
and calibrate the thickness of the cover.
