Adjusting the Cover Table Height

The height should be set low for thin sheets and high for thick sheets.
Also adjust the cover table height if double feeding or mis-feeding occurs often.
Loosen the table height adjusting knob.
Adjust the height of the cover table.
• Read the scale marking where it lines up with
the center of the screw.
When using thin sheets
• Set the screw position to the lowest possible
setting, but still high enough so that no mis-
feeding will occur.
If double feeding occurs often
• This could be caused by too much vacuum to
the feed rotor.
In a case like this, reduce the feed rotor
vacuum (for further details, refer to Section 1-3-
2) or set the cover feed height on the low side.
If mis-feeding occurs often
• This could be caused by too little vacuum to the
feed rotor.
In a case like this, increase the feed rotor
pressure (for further details, refer to Section 1-
3-2) or set the cover feed height on the high
side.
Lock the table height adjusting knob.
• When the adjustment is complete, turn the
table height adjusting knob to lock it.
If mis-feeding occurs frequently
If feeding thin sheets and
double feeding occurs often
