This chapter describes how to clean the machine, replace the consumables and lubricate the parts.

Regular Maintenance

Remember the following maintenance points:
Maintenance point
Clean the delivery
section conveyor
and stacker belts
periodically.
Turn the power off
when the machine is
not being used for
binding.
Use alcohol to clean
the belts and rubber
parts.
(Do not use paint
thinners, benzine or
other organic
solvents.)
Lubricate the melt
tank chains
periodically.
If the support plate is
bent, replace it.
Do not use metal
spatulas to clean the
nipper.

5. Maintenance

If the machine is not maintained, the following may occur.
• The books may be dirty or scratched.
