Replacing the Thermal Fuses

Two thermal fuses are installed: one in the spine glue tank and another in the side glue tank. If the tank overheats, the
thermal fuse will melt and prevent any damage.
Replacing the fuse in the spine glue tank
WARNING
Before replacing the thermal fuse, turn the
power switch off, and allow the tank to
cool off. Otherwise, the hot parts may
cause burns or high voltage electricity can
cause severe personal injury.
Turn the power switch off.
Pull out the tank unit.

Remove the thermal fuse.
• Be careful to collect the washers and nuts
shown in the drawing.
Install the new thermal fuse.
• Pass the wire through the hole in the cap, and
fit the end over the post.
• Attach each wire end of the fuse to one of the
posts.
• On each post, install the lock washer and nut
as shown in the drawing.
• Slide each cap over the post so the cutout fits
over the wire end of the fuse.
• Position the fuse about 10 mm (0.39") away
from the bottom of the heater.
The same fuses are used for EVA and for
the side glue.
Return the tank unit to its original position.
