 Terminals for manufacturer setting
Terminal symbol
S1
The terminals S1, S2, SIC, So (SO), and SOC are for manufacturer setting. Do not connect anything to these. Doing
so may cause an inverter failure.
S2
Do not remove the shorting wires across the terminals S1 and PC, the terminals S2 and PC, and the terminals SIC
SIC
and SD. Removing either shorting wire disables the inverter operation.

Terminal name
Common terminal for the contact input terminal (sink
logic)
Connect this terminal to the power supply common
terminal of a transistor output (open collector output)

device, such as a programmable controller, in the
source logic to avoid malfunction by undesirable
current.
Common terminal for the 24 VDC power supply
(terminal PC, terminal +24).
Isolated from terminals 5 and SE.
Connect this terminal to the power supply common
terminal of a transistor output (open collector output)
device, such as a programmable controller, in the sink
logic to avoid malfunction by undesirable currents.
Common terminal for contact input terminal (source

logic).
Can be used as a 24 VDC 0.1 A power supply.
Common terminal for frequency setting signal
(terminal 2, 1 or 4) and analog output terminal AM,
CA. Do not earth (ground).
Common terminal for terminals RUN, SU, OL, IPF, FU —
With the PU connector, communication can be made through RS-485. (For
connection on a 1:1 basis only)
Conforming standard: EIA-485 (RS-485)
Transmission format: Multidrop link
Communication speed: 4800 to 115200 bps
Wiring length: 500 m
The RS-485 terminals enables the communication by RS-485.
Conforming standard: EIA-485 (RS-485)
Transmission format: Multidrop link
Communication speed: 300 to 115200 bps
Overall length: 500 m
A connector (receptacle)
A USB memory device enables parameter
copies and the trace function.
Mini B connector (receptacle).
By connecting the inverter to a personal
computer via this connector, FR
Configurator2 installed on the computer can
be used for setting the inverter, or monitoring
or testing the inverter operation.
