INSPECTION
Second brake band
Check second brake band (1) visually for damage, wear, discolor-
ation, etc. and replace it if not in good condition.
CAUTION:
When using a new second brake band, immerse it in A/T
fluid for longer than two hours.
Second brake piston
Check piston seal ring (1) for damage.
Visually check piston bore of transmission case for damage and
uneven wear.
Free length of spring (2):
31.3 mm (1.25 in)
