5. Tighten the locknut and recheck clearance.
Repeat adjustment if necessary.
R o t a t e t h e c r a n k s h a f t 1 8 0 . c o u n t e r c l o c k w i s e
(camshaft pulley turns 90'). The "Up" mark should
be on the exhaust side. Adjust valves on No. 3 cylin-
der.
Number 3 piston at TDC:

bring No. 4 piston to TDC. The ,,Up,. mark should
be pointing straight down. Adjust valves on No. 4
cylinder.
Number 4 piston at TDC:
