The E indicator light is on con-
stantly {not blinkingl whenever
the ignition switch is ON lll|.
Mersure D IND Voltage:
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2 . D i s c o n n e c t t h e D ( 1 6 P ) c o n -
nector from the PCM.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (ll).
4. Measure the voltage between
t h e 0 1 4 t e r m i n a l a n d b o d y
ground,
Repair short to power in tho wire
bstween the Dl4 termin.l snd
the gaug€ r3sembly.
Measure ATP DVoltage:
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2 . C o n n e c t t h e D ( 1 6 P i c o n n e c -
tor to the PCM.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON lll).
4. Shift to any position other than
E,
5. lMeasure the voltage between
t h e 4 7 t e r m i n a l a n d b o d y
g r o u n d .
ls there approx. 10 V?
Test the A/T gear position switch
{see section 23).
Check for a shorl lo ground in
the wire between tho A7 termi-
nal and A/T ge.r polition switch.
l, wire is OK, substitute a known-
good PCM and recheck.
