Repair open or short in the wire

Check the IAC valve Iunction:
Momentarily connect ECM con-
n e c t o r t e r m i n a l s A 1 2 a n d A 1 0
with a jumPer wire several times.
Does the IAC valve click?
Substitute a known-good ECM
and recheck. It symPtom/indica-
tion goes away, replace the origi-
nal ECM.
