Water Pump

Remove the timing belt (see section 6).
T u r n t h e w a t e r p u m p p u l l e y c o u n t e r c l o c k w i s e .
Check that it tarns freely.
Check for signs of seal leakage.
NOTE: A small amount of "weeping,,from the bleed
h o l e i s n o r m a l .

Remove the timing belt (see section 6).
Remove the water pump by removing five bolts.
NOTE: Inspect, repair and clean the O-ring groove
and mating surface with the cylinder block.

12 N.m {1.2 kgf.m, l0 x 1.25 mm

Replace.
3. Install the water pump in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
o Keep the O-ring in position when installing.

Clean the spilled engine coolant.
