VTEC Solenoid Valve

D i s c o n n e c t t h e 1 P c o n n e c t o r f r o m t h e V T E C s o l e -
noid valve.
Measure resistance between the terminal and body
g r o u n d .
Resistance: l4 - 30 O
lf the resistance is within specifications, remove the
V T E C s o l e n o i d v a l v e a s s e m b l y f r o m t h e c y l i n d e r
head, and check the VTEC solenoid valve filter for
c l o g g r n g .
. lf there is clogging, replace the engine oil filter
a n d t h e e n g i n e o i l .

4. lf the filter is not clogged, push the VTEC solenoid
valve with your finger and check its movement.
. lf the VTEC solenoid valve is normal. check the
engane oil pressure.
