1 . Check the piston for distortion or cracks,

Measure the piston diameter at a distance A from
bottom of the skirt.

diameter (see page 7-16) and the piston diameter.

Servico Limit:
0.05 mm {0.002 in}
lf the clearance is near or exceeds the service limit,
inspect the piston and cylinder block for excessive
wear.
