Fluid Level
Ghecking
NOTE: Keep all foreign particles out of the transmis-
sron.

Warm up the engine to normal operating tempera-
ture (the radiator fan comes on)
Park the vehicle on the level ground, then turn off
the engrne.
Remove the dipstick (yellow loop) from the trans-
mission. and wipe it with a clean cloth.
Insert the dipstick into the transmrssron
R e m o v e t h e d i p s t i c k a n d c h e c k t h e f l u i d l e v e l l t
s h o u l d b e b e t w e e n t h e u p p e r m a r k a n d l o w e r
marks.
UPPER MABK
LOWER MARK
lf the level is below the lower mark, pour the recom-
m e n d e d f l u i d i n t o t h e t i l l e r h o l e t o b r i n g i t t o t h e
upper mark. Always use Genuine Honda Premium
Formula Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF). Using
a non-Honda ATF can affect shift quality

Insert the dipstick back into the transmission in the
direction shown.
FRONT
Installthe dipstick in the extent
of the direction shown.
