Fault 86: 48 V Bus Overvoltage – Reel Motor

Fault Description
Note:
Reel motor 1 is in the center position.
This fault is reported when the cutting reel motor measures a system voltage greater than 67.5 V. When
this fault reports, the PTO is disabled.
Circuit Description
Each cutting unit has an electric cutting reel motor that contains an internal controller. The internal controller
measures 48 V bus power.
If only 1 cutting reel motor is reporting a bus overvolt fault, the problem is likely to be with the 48 V power
connection to that cutting reel motor.
Recommended Service Actions
Step 1: Verify that the fault repeats.

Clear the system faults from the InfoCenter. Refer to

The fault did not repeat. Go to

If the fault does not repeat, an isolated event has occurred.
Fail
The fault repeated. Go to Step 2.
Step 2: Swap cutting reel motors between cutting units.
All of the cutting reel motors are identical.

Operate the machine.
