1. Alternator
3. Unplug main harness connector P02 from the coolant temperature sender.
4. Inspect harness connector P02 and the temperature sender connector for the following:
•
damage
•
corrosion
•
debris
•
proper alignment and seating of the pins inside the connectors
Pass The wiring inspection check passed.
•
Leave connector P02 unplugged from the temperature sender.
•
Go to Step 3.
Fail One or more of the inspection checks failed. Repair or replace the worn or damaged parts. Go to

Step 3: Test the coolant temperature sender.
1. Measure the resistance across the pins of the temperature sender following the procedure in Chapter 6 of
the Greensmaster TriFlex 3320/3420 Service Manual.
2. Wait 10 minutes to allow the engine to cool and then measure the resistance across the pins of the
temperature sender again. As the engine cools, the resistance across the pins of the temperature sender
should increase. The following table shows sample data across a wide range of temperatures.
