Fault 129: Starter/Generator Current Sensor
Fault
InfoCenter Display:
Fault Description
This fault is reported when the starter/generator (S/G) controller detects that one of the three current sensors
inside the S/G controller has failed.
Circuit Description
The S/G controller contains 3 internal current sensors.
Recommended Service Actions
Step 1: Verify that the fault repeats.

Clear the system faults from the InfoCenter. Refer to

Operate the machine.
Pass
The fault did not repeat. Go to

If the fault does not repeat, an isolated event has occurred.
Fail
The fault repeated. Go to Step 2.
Step 2: Inspect the wiring between the S/G and the controller.
The S/G and the controller each have cabling that connects to the other component. Inspect the wiring between
the controller and the motor/generator.

Remove the S/G assembly from the machine. Refer to Chapter 6 of the Greensmaster TriFlex 3320/3420
Service Manual. Use the Removal procedure in either the Generator Assembly (Greensmaster 3320)
section or the Generator Assembly (Greensmaster 3420), depending on your machine.
2.
Remove the controller from the S/G. Refer to Chapter 6 of the Greensmaster TriFlex 3320/3420 Service
Manual. Use the applicable parts of the Generator Assembly Service section.
3.
Visually inspect the wiring and connectors in both the generator assembly and the controller.
Pass
The wiring between the controller and the motor/generator passed inspection. Go to Step 5.
Fail
The wiring between the controller and the motor/generator did not pass inspection. Only repair
wiring that has worn insulation or a recessed connector pin. Replace all components that have
damaged, burned, or broken wiring. Go to
