Note:
If any individual battery fails this test, all 4 batteries must be replaced.

Inspect the cables between the 4 individual batteries for damage, corrosion, and proper installation.
7.
Inspect the cables between the battery pack and the machine for damage, corrosion, and proper
installation.
8.
Inspect the battery terminals for damage and corrosion.
Pass
The 48 V battery system checks were good. Go to Step 4.
Fail
One or more of the 48 V battery system tests failed. Repair or replace the worn or damaged parts.

Step 4: With the engine running, check the 48 V battery system.

Start the engine.

Using the InfoCenter, monitor the system voltage. It should be 46–54 V.
Pass
The 48 V battery system checks were good. Go to
and follow the steps listed.
Fail
The 48 V battery system test was not good. Go to Step 5.
Step 5: Remove the starter/generator assembly from the machine.
Remove the starter/generator from the machine. Refer to Chapter 6 of the Greensmaster TriFlex 3320/3420
Service Manual.
Step 6: Remove the controller from the starter/generator.
Remove the controller from the starter/generator. Refer to Chapter 6 of the Greensmaster TriFlex 3320/3420
Service Manual.
Step 7: Inspect the wiring between the starter/generator and the
controller.
The starter/generator and the controller each have cabling that connects to the other component. Inspect the
wiring between the controller and the starter/generator.
Pass
The wiring between the controller and the starter/generator passed inspection. Go to Step 8.
Fail
The wiring between the controller and the starter/generator did not pass inspection. Only repair
wiring that has worn insulation or a recessed connector pin. Replace all components that have
damaged, burned, or broken wiring. Go to
the steps listed.
Step 8: Replace the starter/generator controller.
Install a replacement controller onto the existing starter/generator. Refer to Chapter 6 of the Greensmaster
TriFlex 3320/3420 Service Manual.
Step 9: Install the starter/generator assembly.
Refer to Chapter 6 of the Greensmaster TriFlex 3320/3420 Service Manual and follow the steps listed.
Step 10: Use Toro DIAG to program the starter/generator.

Connect a PC with Toro DIAG software to the machine via a Toro DIAG cable (part number 115-1944).
