CAUTION
Overtightening the harness connector retaining fastener will damage the primary TEC
controller.
After you plug connector P01 back into the TEC, torque the retaining fastener for P01 to 25–28
in-lbs.
Pass
The test passed. Go to Step 4.
Fail
The test failed. Locate and repair the short circuit. Go to
and follow the steps listed.
Step 4: Test the glow relay fusible link.
1.
Locate the fusible link harness at the engine starter motor.
2.
Using a multimeter, test the fusible link for continuity. Refer to Chapter 6 of the Greensmaster TriFlex
3320/3420 Service Manual.
Pass
The fusible link passed the test. Go to Step 5.
Fail
The fusible link was bad. Replace the fusible link. Go to
and follow the steps listed.
Step 5: Test the glow relay wiring for continuity.
Locate the glow relay under the right side cover, next to the operator's seat.
1.
Unplug the P01 connector from the TEC controller.
2.
Locate output pin 7 in the connector plug.
3.
Unplug the P49 connector from the glow plug relay.
Note:
The glow plug relay has 4 wires attached to it. They are red, gray, orange, and black.

Locate pin 5 in the connector plug (gray wire).
