Step 2: Test the 15-amp fuse for the start relay and solenoid
1.
Locate the 15 A fuse located in the fuse block mounted beneath the operator's seat base. The start
relay fuse is in position R2.
2.
Test the fuse. Refer to Chapter 6 of the Greensmaster TriFlex 3320/3420 Service Manual.
Pass
The fuse tested good. Go to Step 3.
Fail
The fuse did not test good. Replace the 15 amp fuse. Function test the machine. Go to
Machine to Service (page 21)
Step 3: Check that the output is not shorted.
The output current signal flows from the primary TEC to the starter relay. Test the wiring at the relay to ensure
the voltage signal is reaching the relay. The start relay is located under the right side cover. It is a terminal
relay with a 12-volt coil.
1.
Remove the right side cover to access the start relay wiring.
2.
Disconnect the machine wire harness from the start relay.
3.
Turn the key switch to the R
4.
Test for 12 volts at pin 2 (red wire). See
5.
Return the key switch to the O
